Ciconia Ciconia is a project run by Studio Ganek Lyon and LIAA Vilnius with La Halle, centre d’art contemporain de Pont-en-Royans and Le Polaris de Corbas, in partnership with Moly-Sabata / Fondation Albert Gleizes Sablons and La Fabrique des Luddites Chatte.

During a prospecting trip in october 2023, Leïla Couradin (associate curator at Polaris), Magalie Meunier (manager of Studio Ganek) and Giulia Turati (maganager of la Halle) have met the Lithuanian art scene, and started a conversation with the artistes around notions of global neighbourhood, unrestrained imagination, diversity and identities. A year later, several projects will be developed during the Lithuanian Season in France, gathered under the title Ciconia Ciconia: artists Jelena Škulis et Ona Juciūtė will take up residency at Moly-Sabata à Sablons and La Fabrique des Luddites à Chatte during summer, before presenting two solo exhibitions at Polaris de Corbas and La Halle de Pont-en-Royans.

Lithuanian curators Danutė Gambickaitė et Lina Rukevičiūtė (LIAA) will in turn come to meet the French art scene during automn, and will present a programme of films by artists Dainius Liškevičius, Emilija Škarnulytė and Darius Žiūra at various venues in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
