September/December 2022, Lyon Péri

Studio Ganek organises Portraits Flottants. The inhabitants, accompanied by artist Gaelle Loth, colour Lyon Péri district area!

Collectively produced by and for the inhabitants with the artists during workshops set with partnered structures, tens of Portraits flood the street. Pasteur street is enhanced by wavy shapes and texture : the portraits are printed on flags and exhibited in Pasteur street (Lyon 7) from 6th December 2022 to 8th January 2023.

To show the engagement and attachment to cohabitation values, to greet the area’s standing and development, every participant will gather during a festive moment the 17th December, 16:00, during La Voie est libre.

Gaelle Loth was born in 1988 in Bordeaux. She graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Bordeaux and the School of Fine Arts of Lyon (2022), the city in which she currently lives and works.

She paints, uses ceramic, installation and small edition, inspired by illustrations from underground concerts posters, underground culture and her own existential questioning.

Her work revolves around ideas of contrast, colourful images for melancholic emotions, though undefinable characters, interrogating notions about the body, identities and affective relationships.

What is better than a flying collective artwork to develop one’s creativity! The artist will assist this project colourfully and happily!
