Julia Huteau • supervues village 2025

For this first edition of Supervues Village in Mollans-sur-Ouvèze, Studio Ganek invites artist Julia Huteau to present her work!

For the event, Julia Huteau will sensitively engage with two iconic locations in the village:

🔸 The façade of the former Chapelle du Pont, with a site-specific installation designed to engage in dialogue with the architecture
🔸 The old washhouse, where she will showcase a selection of her works

Three days of wandering, encounters, and discoveries, where contemporary art finds its place at the heart of everyday spaces — homes, chapels, hidden corners...

Julia Huteau

Julia Huteau develops a ceramic practice shaped by a rich journey that blends tradition with contemporary exploration. Trained in Applied Arts and introduced to ceramics in 1998, she first turned to traditional Japanese pottery, exploring primitive hand-building techniques such as coil building, as well as wood firing. A graduate of the Maison de la Céramique in Dieulefit (2007), she produced her first series of porcelain vessels between 2008 and 2013. Today, she is primarily devoted to contemporary sculpture, where color becomes a material to shape. Her work draws on a wide range of techniques — drawing, wheel-throwing, molding, glazing — which she continues to develop through ongoing training. Between ancestral gestures and expressive form, Julia Huteau’s work reveals a sensitive and ever-evolving practice, driven by a constant desire to learn and share.
